The Edition

I was an invited guest on The Spectator’s weekly podcast, The Edition. I spoke about my article in the magazine, reflecting on the importance and power of gallows humour to cope with difficult circumstances. We talked about the vital role of humour under dictatorships, and how dark jokes, memes and videos are proving an essential coping mechanism during the coronavirus pandemic.
